The South San Joaquin County Fire Authority is prepared to provide high-quality technical rescue resources staffed with skilled and dedicated personnel that are available for immediate response. Additionally, our rescue certified personnel provide related support training to our remaining staff.

Primary rescue response is performed by Truck 91 and supplemented by our other resources including an Urban Search and Rescue Trailer provided by the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services. The trailer is equipped to handle a variety of incidents including confined space rescue, technically difficult auto extrication, swift water rescue, trench collapse rescue, structure collapse, and high and low angle rope rescue.

In addition to the specialized response capabilities of our personnel, every engine and truck in the Authority carries a minimum compliment of rescue equipment. These vehicles are stocked with tools used to augment rescue operations including ropes, cribbing, airbags, and cutting and prying tools. With such a large variety of incidents and specialized equipment, training is a vital and constant necessity of our personnel.
